What a Day With Us Looks Like
Playing, learning, eating, resting, and lots of outside time. Here are the basics.
- Ages
- We care for all kids, from newborns on up. Our youngest was 2 months old. Our current kids are 1 to 6, and we help school-age kids with homework too.
- Hours
- Our day starts when your child arrives. Our first kids come in at 7:00 am, and pickup is at 6:00 pm. Later pickups are welcome. Ask us about overnights and weekend sitting.
- Meals
- Breakfast and lunch, plus dinner for kids who are here later. We do not serve pork. If your child needs something different, we make different food, or you can bring their own lunch. It is simple: we figure out what each child needs and give it to them.

Linda Nelson started Triumphant Kids. Her daughter, Elizabeth Jenkins El, is the Assistant Director. They have always served underserved communities in Durham, and Triumphant Kids is where that work lives every day.

Words cannot express how grateful I am for the care Triumphant Kids has given my son. He started there when he was only 3 months old and stayed until he started preschool. He is 8yrs old now and still goes whenever school is out. Linda is so great! She is so patient with all the kids and creates a calm, fun, educational, excepting, and very loving environment that all of them enjoy. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I highly recommend!
